When We First Met || Kevar
masterelliot:
Ever since Dalton things have been hectic and fucking annoying for Kevin. For a few days he had been locked up but since they had no real proof that he killed Finn they let him go. Of course with the warning that the investigation was still going on and that he was their number one suspect. Naturally, he didn’t give a shit. He knew they’d never find any traces of Finn’s body so he had nothing to worry about. Every now and then the investigators would come and make sure he wasn’t doing anything illegal and pester him with questions about Finn and what they’re relationship was in the house. Plain and simple, he fucking hated Finn and didn’t give a shit about him. He was like one of those annoying flies that constantly fly around and annoy you until you finally kill it with the flyswatter.
Other than all that Kevin kept tabs on Quinn, his angel, since he loved to call her that. The first person in that house he really opened up to only because she reminded him of someone very dear to him. So of course he would always worry about her well-being as well as her sister Charlie, who he’s developed a rather odd friendship with in Dalton. Since Dalton they’ve become more physical with their relationship or whatever you wanted to call it, he didn’t mind this of course. It’s no secret he’s always been a bit attracted to her even after she managed to get him down with her crutch. He always keeps tabs on Liv and of course his pregnant person, another individual he’s developed an odd friendship with. Ever since he killed that bastard he’s been kind of taking care of her so, in some strange way, he cares about her and those damn kids in her stomach which is a surprise to him. He’s never really liked kids.
While Charlie was on her way over he picked up the apartment some, throwing away the beer bottles and changing his shirt. He didn’t have a job yet, he probably wasn’t going to find one until this whole investigation shit was over. But then again he didn’t really need a job since he had more than enough money to take care of himself with. Of course it was a bitch to get to the money since he couldn’t leave the state, thankfully he got a hold of a cousin that had access to it and sent it to him. After lighting up a cigarette he let the dog out, waiting at the top of the stairs for her to do her business before watching as she ran back up to him. “Good girl.” he said as he exhaled the smoke and went back inside. It wasn’t long before he heard Charlie coming up the stairs, a smile playing on his lips as he put the cigarette out and went to pull the door open. “Hello, darlin’.”
Charlie’s grin became a lot more natural when she actually saw him. Feeling a little more giddy than normal, her arms were around his neck and she easily launched into his arms, her lips pressing against his in greeting. Before she pulled her head back and sighed. “You taste like cigarettes.” She mused, quietly as she held onto him one arm moving back to shut his door. She had quit in Dalton and she actually had managed to keep away from restarting, but there were times like this when she didn’t oppose to him smoking them, but he always was tempting her with the taste of them on his tongue…but it was enough most of the time to suit her.
“Miss me?” She asked, teasingly with a slight quirk of her brow. He had picked up, at least when she did a quick glance around, she saw that it looked more tidy than usual. Charlie nodded towards his couch, he could feel free to deposit her there or he could continue carrying her, she didn’t really care as long as she got to be close to him for a little bit longer before she had to go home and welcome Quinn and then spend the night alone in her bed with her sense of security slightly gone and more one of a protector plague her as she worried about Quinn…which she would, and she was already worrying now, when she should be focused on the arms holding her up.
